From 350 to over 20,000 government services online

In 2022, 350 government services were available online. Everything else required a physical queue, a physical file and, too often, a physical bribe.

By 2025 that number stood at 20,985 services — an increase of nearly 5,900%. Passports, IDs, business permits, land searches, licences, court filings and county services all moved to a single eCitizen gateway with one payment rail.

Corruption at the service counter depends on discretion and darkness. A digital transaction with a timestamp, an audit trail and a fixed published fee removes both.
